PROMOTER


In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, the mission of the Lombardy Region is to promote what society, in its various aspects, can create, assuring the conditions and the context for people, businesses, institutions and organizations to realize their projects and own ideas.
The regional initiative for young people is mainly aimed at broadening opportunities for access to working life, promoting the leadership and participation in planning and supporting their territory prerequisites for innovation and thus create a more dynamic and competitive society. 
The actions implemented by the Sport and Youth General Department are aimed at enhancing the talents and creativity of young people, to stimulate the entrepreneurial capacity, to support the acquisition of "life skills" through the design and implementation of qualified non-formal learning opportunities. 
The Department works closely with other Department of the institution and with youth organizations and local public and private, which provides technical support and assistance in the development of initiatives and projects, tools for the promotion and dissemination of their good practical opportunities for the enhancement of relations between them and create synergies in the area. 
The added value of regional policy for young people is represented by the investment in the construction of "network operators" for youth policy, an instrument for the exploitation of local resources, exchange of good practices and the provision of services.

Agenzia InnovA21 follows the idea of taking action in favor of environmental sustainibility through participation.
Our partners are public, private organizations and no-profit associations, which share the common aim to achieve a good balance between economy, society and environment. We work in team to inform, educate and actively involve citizens, companies, schools and public administrations.
We operate in Brianza (Lombardy).
We think that the environment is the place where economical, social and personal possibilities can be developed; we put people at the centre of our activituies, becausa we think that responsibility of change belongs to everyone. 
Agenzia InnovA21 realizes projects and take concrete actions of sustainibility, concerning road moving, energy saving, use of renewable sources, usage of the territory and protection of biodiversity. We support public and private groups when applying for funding offered by agencies that promote the sustainibility values. We provide with qualified support to the startup of procurement notices whose purposes are the improvement of urban environment and changes in the lifestyle. We work on education, training and divulgation of sustainibility and we organize public events, seminars, communication and educational campaigns, and training courses.

Legal Status
BAPCI is a Bulgarian non-profit, non-partisan and non-governmental organization seated and registered  in Bourgas, having 20 members – both local NGOs and physical persons. Legal representative of BAPCI is Mrs.Daniela Bozhinova, a founding member and Chairperson of the Managing Council. 
Goals and Mission  
The organization aims at assisting the democratization and modernization in Bulgaria,  fostering direct-decision making and participatory democracy,  good governance and sustainable local and regional development. 
Funding
BAPCI is funded through membership fees and mainly on a project basis as a result of successful bidding for international and national assistance programs.  Throughout the years its projects and activities have been supported financially by the EU PHARE programme, the Sorros Foundation, the Democracy Commission of the US Embassy in Bulgaria, the CEE Trust for the Development of Civil Society and Bulgarian grant-making organizations. 
Management and Staff
BAPCI is managed by a Managing Council of 5 members, elected by the Members Assembly. BAPCI employs currently 3 and hires on project-basis up to 10 free-lancers of project-specific expertise. The organization is assisted by volunteers – university students and senior persons on a project basis, too.
Aсtivity and Public Standing
BAPCI is a leading NGO in the Black Sea region of Bulgaria. The organization has been involved in a range of challenging projects fostering local democracy and community development. Underlying principles of BAPCI activities have been: professionalism, entrepreneurial approach, local “ownership” of decision-making, inclusion of disadvantaged groups, partnership.
BAPCI has implemented successfully 20+ larger and smaller projects in the area of social justice: improving access of handicapped to the built environment, improving gender balance in local decision-making, enhancing participatory approaches to regional development planning and budgeting; environmental rights:  campaigns and  referendums to raise public awareness and assert citizens right to direct decision-making in relation to energy projects with substantial environmental impact in Bulgarian Black Sea zone, sustainable urban planning, retaining the greenery of the bigger cities etc.
In 2009 in appreciation of BAPCI’ s work to protect citizens’ right to vital environmental information  the association was awarded the national Award for Contribution to the Right of Information in Bulgaria by Access to Information Foundation.
  
CSOP is a civic association of people who share an active interest in nature conservation and the environment. Our mission is to protect and restore nature, the landscape and the environment, to promote environmental education and support sustainable living.

The Union has existed since 1979 and its members come from the ranks of professional naturalists, experienced volunteers as well as pure enthusiast who simply love nature. In more than 350 local chapters all over the Czech Republic there are almost 5.5 thousand adult members and over 3 thousand children organized in groups of Young Environmentalists. ČSOP also registers hundreds of individual members.

Systematic work with children and youth is an important part of ČSOP activities. Over 3,300 members below the age of 18 are active in more than 120 groups of Young Environmentalists. These groups organize in cooperation with local chapters of ČSOP activities focused on learning about nature and nature conservation. Young Environmentalist groups operate in all regions of the country. They meet regularly, go on educational nature and sightseeing trips, help with animal surveys, take part in voluntary management fieldwork, organize summer camps, public events etc. The leaders of the Young Environmentalists are volunteers working with the children in their free time.

The Association organizes regular courses for Young Environmentalist leaders as a part of a comprehensive Leader Qualification system. The topics include safety, first aid and health care, methodology of year-round and camp-based work with children, basics of pedagogy and psychology, and essentials of accounting and organization-related legal issues. Other specialized courses and opportunities for exchange of experience are also offered.

Fondazione Lombardia per l’Ambiente (Lombardy Foundation for the Environment, FLA) is a “nonprofit scientific foundation” established in 1986 by the Lombardy Regional Council after the dioxin emission accident which occurred at the ICMESA plant near Seveso in 1976.

In more than 20 years of activity, FLA has acquired a wide-ranging environmental knowledge, which has strictly focused on major environmental protection topics and has allowed FLA to promote and complete a great number of projects: these achievements have gained FLA its current role as a leading institution in research and promulgation on a regional and national level.

Implementing the efforts of the European Community and its Directives on Biodiversity and Protected Areas, FLA’s dedicated division has started several actions to support local policies aimed at the safeguard of protected animal and vegetal species and habitats. Contributions in this field range from the designing of Lombardy Regional naturalistic cartography, to research programs on the Regional Ecological Network, which gives a detailed state-of-the-art picture of protected areas in Lombardy, thus contributing to their protection and promotion within local integrated policy programs.

FLA’s Formation sector is involved in school and educational projects by editing teaching material about protected areas and even the creation of specific board games.

FLA’s structure and action aim to create a synergy among the academic research structures, the public institutions and the educational world at all levels.

Since its birth, FLA has given scientific advice to the decision makers and its publications have reached thousands of people, overall local authorities and schools.

South-Eastern Bulgaria and it is fourth biggest municipality of the country. The municipality consists of city of Burgas and twelve more settlements with a total area of 514 362 decares and population about 300 000 people.
City of Burgas is economical, administrative and cultural centre. It is situated along the self-titled and very comfortable for shipping - the largest bay on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Due to its favorable location, it is important centre for marine tourism with plenty facilities. Burgas itself is a tourist center and also a starting point for visiting the Black Sea resort Sunny Beach, the holiday villages of Elenite and Duni, the museum-towns of Nessebar and Sozopol, the Ropotamo Reserve and the Strandja Nature Park.
The city is adjacent to Lake Atanasovo (north), Burgas (west) and Mandra (south-west) that form the biggest complex of maritime lakes in Bulgaria, unique with their extremely rich biodiversity.
They are part of the town’s natural landmarks with unique and precious eco-systems such as meadows, marshlands, peat swamps and lakes which play an important role for the development of alternative tourism.
In the past, the region of today’s Burgas between the three lakes and Black Sea was called "crossroad of ancient civilizations".
Burgas Municipality is also important industrial, commercial and transport center. Burgas has largest port in the country with the only oil terminal south of the Balkan range, with a well-developed railway and road network. The airport boasts the best atmospheric conditions on the Balkan Peninsula and is the only one adapted for receiving supersonic planes.
On the territory of Burgas there are 25 schools and 2 universities and 4 colleagues offering a great variety of subjects and opportunities for further professional realisation, which makes Burgas preferred place for study.
Burgas Municipality has a significant experience in preparation and implementation of interregional cooperation projects, funded by the European Programms and Structural Funds (URBACT II, Culture programme 2007-2013, CONCERTO, Intelligent Energy – Europe Programme, INTERREG IVC, etc.
Burgas Municipality is member of several European networks – EUROCITIES, ICLEI – Local Government of Sustainability, European Cities Against Drugs, European Federation of Local Solidarity, Balkan Cities Network, etc.
 

The Desio Municipality is 25 Km far from Milan and has an extension of 15 kmq with an average of 2300 inhabitants per kmq. The Municipality has activated, in the years, various participation processes connected with the local Agenda 21, in which all the participants have shared the strategies to be adopted locally to achieve a good level of Sustainability, especially in a future perspective. In particular, in 2002, at the start of the process of the Local Agenda 21 the Desio Municipality realized a simulation workshop (Scenario Workshop), to define in a participated way the "Desio idea of Sustainability 2010", used as a starting point for the following phases of the process.
In 2004, the Local Forum of A21 presented an "Action Plan for the Local A21" (as a strategic plan, with aims and actions, for the sustainable development of our city) to make this idea concrete. The city of Desio has been in 2006 a member of the advisory group for the project approved and funded by the European Commission for the Environment, called "Urban Environmental Management Plans for the South-EU-area" (project Partners: french Comité 21, British City Council, Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities & Towns, Research Institute "Ambiente Italia"), with the task of leading, together with other 20 cities, the development phases of the final products and of evaluating all the steps of the project.
The Desio Municipality, in the last decades, has given a great relevance to the politics which aim to give a complete answer to the questions connected with the health and the welfare of the citizens, in the specific health and social aspects.
Among all the supporting projects for the families, a particular role has been carried out by the CAG Jacaranda (Center for the Youth Gathering), which aim is to develop educational actions for the spare time for children and youth, through the management of collective spaces for young people.  
 
The Town of Radnice is a little town with 1750 dwellers in the nort-east part of the Plzeň Region, situated 30 km from Plzeň City. It became the town in 1570, the first written mention runs into 1336 through. The industrial activities: coal-mining, chemical and glass industries were declining gradually to an end in the last century while agriculture is prevailing these days.

The Town Hall performs the Second Grade administration for 17 other comunities. Radnice Town is a member of the MicroRegion Radnicko (The Optional Communities Union), the member of MAS Světovina (LAG) and others.

There are many NGOs organizations operating in our town, e.g. ČSOP, Junák, SNOP civic corporation and others (The Theather Amateurs Club for example operates continuously since 1850).

Radnice Town participates in these organizations activities providing both financial and tangible support, rooms for their activities and gives special support for those working with children and young people especially.
